If your baby is unwell right now

Do not wait for a reply. Go to the nearest hospital emergency if your baby is breathing fast or with effort, turning blue, not feeding, unusually sleepy or floppy, having a fit, or is under three months old with a temperature of 38°C or more.

What to bring

  • The discharge summary if your baby was in a NICU
  • The vaccination card
  • Recent reports and prescriptions
  • A list of your questions. Most parents forget one.
